Moscone Center - the official convention center in San Francisco - is huge, yet centrally located in the city center. This is more than convenient as the city of San Francisco's traffic management philosophy "encourages the use of transit first". The result: pretty high parking fees in all parking lots around the convention center. And this makes walking from any of the downtown hotels a pretty obvious choice. Moscone Center consists of 3 buildings, the Moscone West complex is the newest and much nicer than the older South and North buildings.
Overall this is a good meeting venue, centrally located in one of the greatest cities in the world. There is a reason by companies like Oracle or Apple choose this place for their biggest annual conferences.
