Northwest Portland and the Pearl District are celebrated for their cultural cooool. First Thursday in the Pearl is a slam jam bagga mam experience. Where can you find the least pretentious art and the best vibe? Albina COMMUNITY Bank which celebrates that central word in its name by being part of the cultural vibe. Branch Manager Mary Edmeades encourages alter artists every month with shows of work that wouldn't be found elsewhere. Refreshments and a lively chat with the three thousand other artistas each night make this a tasty place in the cultural stew--sometimes paint, sometimes music, sometimes, performance art. This is the place to BANK on.
