Usually not the biggest fan of Mexican food but this place was great! It had a good atmosphere, really nice interior design, super-friendly service and the food was awesome. The menu offers a whole range of classic Mexican dishes but they all come with a modern twist so you will not be eating rice/bean/taco combos. I had the chicken tostadas and I an only recommend them.
Saturdays and Sundays Zocalo serves brunch from 9am to 3pm.

I ate dinner here one night after a wine tasting they held in the back room. It was really good but not traditional Mexican at all. Very trendy with smaller portions. I liked it since I left feeling not like I wanted to get sick, as you can with traditional rice, beans and cheese Mexican. The restaurant is lovely and has a nice atmosphere and an amazing wine list! Wines from all over including CA and that night they were tasting wines from Latin America. Yum. There is valet parking too so you don't need to fight for a place on the street.
