Oregon Coast

P_coast_cannon_beach_small

Nestled in between the Pacific Ocean and Coastal Mountains, Cannon Beach is surrounded by the rugged natural beauty of forests. Haystack Rock, one of the Oregon Coast's most popular destinations, provides amazing opportunities to see all kinds of marine wildlife in their natural habitat.

Haystack Rock Awareness Program

P8290090_small

Every morning at dawn the volunteers of the Haystack Rock Awareness Program start protecting and explaining the wonders of that huge monolith and the wildlife garden on and around it. On the sides of their van you can read and see how this outstanding landmark came into existence, what a cosmos full of wonders exists there - and how it is endangered by stupid people and their selfish interests. If you have any questions, ask the volunteers! They are real experts and happy to share their experience and knowledge with you.

Keywords: Scenic, Free, Outside the city, Interesting, Everyone, Summer (June - August), Exciting, In the morning, Beach / River / Lake, Easy to reach, Fall (September - November), Spring (March - May), Museum (Science)
