When we was told that we could grab a great fresh seafood salad at a local restaurant run by local commercial fishermen, we was skeptical. But when we walked into a spotless, bright and open designed restaurant our skepticism exited and excited bloomed. And the food was out of this ocean. From the boats across the street as a mater of fact.
Nothing less then "A"s across the board for this seafood bistro. Gone are the dark wood, round brass windows, and dust covered rope and, in are the floor to ceiling windows, open kitchen bar, and the harvest location of every item on the menu. It seamed that everyone know the exact time and location of fish, crab, and squid.
Prices were low compared to the meal and everything was gourmet. We got our greens and salmon burger to spawn for.
Fantastic food at a casual price in a classy harbor joint.

My experience at the Local Ocean resturant was very good. For such a compact space they made it feel very warm and welcoming. If you don't mind a wait on a Friday or Saturday night this is definaletly a good place to try. The portions were perfect, not to much that you can't possibly finish, but not to little that you leave hungry. If you like you can even sit at the bar and watch the chefs make your dinner. i definately give this place a thumbs up!

On a recent trip to the coast, a friend and I were lucky to receive a tip from a local to check out Local Ocean. We had the grilled albacore tuna kabobs, dungeness crab cakes as well as the crab po'boy. All of these items were amazing! Not only did they taste great but the presentation was fabulous as well. My only regret is that I wasn't able to sample more of the items on the menu, all of the entrees people around me were eating looked delicious too. The prices are quite reasonable, and seafood is local. I can't wait to get back here!
