this place, it's in my hood. It's a classy atmosphere in a neighborhood, so the prices are not 'downtown high' - but the food is clean, simple and elegant - with spice! Cocktails, yum. And if your date is still going well, you can head across the street to the night light for beers and pool. LOL

Nice Indian
I was pleasantly surprise by this Indian restaurant. It sits in a funky neighborhood with quirky stores and bars. Vinhalho is a big space with high ceilings, a nice bar from where you can look into the open kitchen. There are cheaper Indian places in Portland, the are Indian places with more extensive menus but overall Vindalho delivers. My recommendation is the Keralan style chicken curry.
