The Beanery has free wireless, which you can tell as soon as you walk in among the humming laptops. Popular with state workers and students, this downtown coffee house has recently been remodeled to provide lots more seating (tables and booths). With delicious homemade deli items and baked goods, including quiches, wraps, soups, muffins and cheesecakes, they give Starbucks (across the street) appropriate competition. A little pricey for what they offer (expect $10-12 for lunch), but the quality is worthy enough to feel good supporting the local coffeehouse option.
