Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm

This is the time to enjoy Oregon's incredible tulip fields. The weekend schedules will be packed with lots for the family including ducky races, the hay stack, horse swings, bumpy slide, cow train and more. Tram rides will be free and full of information this year. There is a great selection of food onsite this year. For the ride home, don't miss the roasted Bavarian nuts.

Puddin' River Chocolates

Life is good. Puddin' River Chocolates now has a cozy wine bar and cooking classes in addition to their hand-dipped and delightful chocolates. The tasting room is cozy and easy to find. Owner Teresa Sasse is welcoming and turns out laudable chocolates. This is a not-to-be-missed stop if you're RoadTripping Canby way.

Swan Island Dahlia Farm

Dahlias are the most amazing flower - no two alike, so imagine the diversity at Swan Island Dahlia Farm, open daily 7 days a week from August to September. This is the perfect place to immerse yourself in blooms and color. This is the nations largest dahlia grower, set amid 40 acres of beauty. Fresh cutflowers are available July to September. Their annual Dahlia Festival the last weekend in August and Labor Day weekend.

Historic Canby Ferry

This little ferry is one of only three historic ferries still crossing the Willamette River. The Canby Ferry runs virtually year-round, making it the most reliable bet for those spur-of-the moment, off the beaten track road trips. Each ferry lies somewhat off our modern main roadways, making it all the more delightful of an experience. P.S. The "cruise" takes about 7 minutes from shore to shore.

Hughes Water Gardens

If you have a watergarden or are considering taking the plunge, this is a "must see." The nursery enhabits 10 acres in Wilsonville with demonstration ponds and viewing trails. This is the leading aquatic plant growers on the West Coast and boasts a large retail/garden center and supplies for pond construction. The staff is well-versed in everything you always wanted to know about watergardens!

Barn Owl Nursery

Barn Owl is open from late March through late July, 4 days a week (except holidays), Wed-Sat 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Three key annual events take place throughout the season. The Herbfest in May, Lavender Fest in June, and the festive Holiday Open House in November. The nursery offers a nice selection of locally grown herb plants. The gift shop features an interesting collection of specialty lavender products and creations by local artists.
